Echo started tattooing in 1997 ,when the art became legalized in New York. For years prior everyone he knew asked him for ink so with his graffiti and fine art background it was bound to happen. Self taught, and from the days when you had to make your own needles, everyone had faith in him so it gave him his confidence. After two years i
Echo started tattooing in 1997 ,when the art became legalized in New York. For years prior everyone he knew asked him for ink so with his graffiti and fine art background it was bound to happen. Self taught, and from the days when you had to make your own needles, everyone had faith in him so it gave him his confidence. After two years in Brooklyn and Staten Island Street shops, he took off to Amsterdam for vacation. There he landed at the most famous shop in the world, Hanky Panky's in the Red Light District. Long story short ,while he was there, Echo tattooed Sporty Spice aka Mel C from the Spice Girls and Sid from the band SlipKnot. Fast forward years later he came back home with tons of experience and opened up a one man shop which had a good ten year run. Since they were friends for a while it made more sense to join Yosh and the Sacred Ink Gallery so they could work together as a team but now it's more like a family.
